Dear England (Original Series Soundtrack)
Dear England (Original Series Soundtrack) is available now via Sony Music. The original score from Irish producer and performer Kormac soundtracks the four-part BBC drama, which aired on BBC One in the lead up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Based on James Graham's award-winning stage play, Dear England charts Gareth Southgate's transformation of the England men's football team and explores the pressures, expectations and national identity wrapped up in the modern game. Starring Joseph Fiennes and Jodie Whittaker, the series is directed by Paul Whittington and Rupert Goold, who also directed the original stage production.
Recorded with a live orchestra in Budapest, the score is anchored by a sweeping main theme that carries the emotional weight of the series. Guitar-led motifs propel the football sequences, while driving electronic textures bring tension and urgency to gut-wrenching moments. Together, these elements create a richly textured sound world that reflects both the intimacy of the story and the scale of its defining sporting moments.
